Children's Hospice Week

During Children’s Hospice Week, we had the opportunity to visit some of our twinned hospices. Paul Holcroft and Claire West visited Demelza Children’s Hospice in London, Matt Gardner, Felecia Wood and Eve Sawbridge visited Rainbow’s Children’s Hospice in Loughborough, and Kate Palmer, Bertrand Stern-Gillet and Dionne O’Mahony visited Francis House Children’s Hospice in Manchester.

This was a chance for us to see first hand the difference that our partnership is making to Together for Short Lives and the 52 children’s hospices across the UK. We met with CEOs and nursing staff, as well as families and children being cared for at each hospice. The visits were incredible moving, and everyone left more determined than ever to do all we can to raise money for and support this wonderful charity.

We also created butterfly walls within all our offices, where employees left messages for the children, young people and staff at the 52 UK children's hospices. Courtnee O'Neill from Together for Short Lives said "Thank you to everyone who contributed a heartfelt message to our Butterfly Wall. Your messages of hope, kindness and encouragement created a beautiful display and will mean so much to families who will read them at your local children’s hospices. To know that there are good people thinking of them in their community, means the world. Thank you."
